As long as I can remember cats have been in my life.
Now me and my 5 devon rex cats live our happy life in the west of Holland together with our spanish “wild” cat Katja and our sixteen year old chihuahua girl.
Although I started in 1975 with breeding, siamese, british blue and devon rex, the latter of which I imported from the UK, I was not active for quite some time till I started breeding again in 2002 with Devon Rex only.
This because I love the special character ànd looks of the Devon Rex. They just stole my heart.
Moreover, because one of my children had a serious allergy for cats, the non-allergic factor of the Devon Rex made the choice easy.
The Devon Rex is a real companion in your household. He likes to have attention and should you forget he’ll remind you of that. More than most pets he really needs a stable and happy environment because of his sensitivity for human emotions. Unhappiness and tensions around him can really make a normally healthy Devon sick.
The fur of a Devon Rex is mostly not allergy inviting, and he will scarcely lose hairs.
Should you consider bringing a Devon Rex cat into your home and life as the first pet, think about taking two of them, especially when you have a job outdoors.
